I have been raring to watch indie films and attend Cinemalaya festivals for some years now. Either I have a lousy schedule or haven't anyone to go with. I know both reasons are lame BUT I have redeemed myself and watched two films consecutively.
So while people were freaking about the last franchise of the HP series, I was going crazy over the probability of finally being able to go to Cinemalaya. My friend Mark has been supportive lately (we even went to Virgin Labfest the other week to no avail!) and planned the whole thing while both of us were in our offices. The screening schedules were crazy but we managed.
Come Saturday noon, we found ourselves waiting in line for almost an hour. The queue from the ground level ended at the 3rd level! The crowd was tantamount to attendees of CCP's own Pasinaya festival. I figured it was a self-test of some sort so I stayed patient no matter how the wait was killing me. I people watched...and watched...and watched. I even found myself some favorites! ♥ haha!
After two films, and the insane wait time, I must say, the experience was all worth it. In fact, we are going back this Friday and Saturday to finish up the movies from our list.
