This Is Not A Book Blog

The book comes with a readers guide!
I honestly don't want this to be a book blog. It's just a coincidence that whenever I feel like sharing something, I want it to be about books. There's an awful lot of book blogs out there that actually serves its purpose. Mine is just, well, babbling.

Anyway, I'm currently nursing a book hangover.  Just finished reading John Green's Looking for Alaska yesterday (despite having bought it in late January!). I'm admittedly a slow reader--what with school work and TV--but the reason it took me that long was because I read and finished Chris Martinez's Last Order sa Penguin (in between) to get myself some playwriting inspiration. I got some wonderful ideas but my play still sucks! Enter Miles "Pudge" Halter, the most amazing and sincere friend one could ever have. He made me feel I was part of his Culver Creek circle of friends and allowed me to speak all the ya'lls and yes'ms I wanted. To cut the long story short, I still have a sucky play and a terrible book hangover! But I still love you, Pudge Halter!

I had this reading list and promised myself that Alaska was going to be the last book to spend my money on in the first Q of 2011. Boy was I wrong! I bought I am the Messenger and The Book Thief respectively. So much for broken promises.
